I. Forms of XADO Revitalizant
XADO Revitalizant is a compound made up of several active ingredients. Beyond the properties they share, the friction systems of different machines each have their own characteristics, so the composition of the XADO compound varies from one type of machinery to another. There are currently more than 20 XADO compounds, enough to cover virtually any mechanical equipment used in industry, transport, agriculture, defense and everyday life.
Depending on the structure and operating characteristics of the friction system, the machine’s designer specifies a lubricant in either oil or grease form. To repair or strengthen a component with XADO technology, the XADO compound has to travel with the lubricant to reach the friction contact points. For this reason, XADO Revitalizant is produced in two main forms to match the lubricant in use:
XADO Gel is an oil-like form supplied in 9 ml metal tubes. It is intended for machinery lubricated with oil: you add it to the system’s oil in very small amounts, a few milliliters per liter of oil.
XADO Grease is a grease form. This is a premium grease containing XADO revitalizant, so it both rebuilds and strengthens worn surfaces and lubricates like any other grease. Use it in place of your current grease when a machine needs repair and restoration. Once the restoration is complete, you can go back to ordinary grease.
XADO compounds are compatible with all oils and greases. They neither react with these lubricants nor change their properties, and can be used together with any of them. Every XADO compound is needed only during a strengthening treatment or a repair-and-restoration job. Once the work is finished, you return to ordinary grease and oil without any XADO compound.
So far, 14 XADO compounds in these two forms have been brought to the Vietnamese market. The XADO Group has also released its XADO Atomic Oil line along with many other products, which we will introduce later.
II. Getting Results: Know the Conditions for Use and Follow the Procedure
To apply XADO technology successfully, you must understand the necessary and sufficient conditions for it to work and follow the procedure given in the instructions for each XADO compound.
As with any technology, success depends on meeting certain necessary and sufficient conditions, which we call the limits of use. These conditions are common to every XADO compound:
- The friction pair must be metal-on-metal, with at least one side being a ferrous metal.
- Wear must be below 100%.
- There must be no mechanically damaged parts (seizure, breakage, cracks, chips, nicks, pitting or deep scoring) and no wear beyond 100%.
- The friction system must be strong enough.
- The correct, sufficient amount of XADO compound must be present in the friction contact zone between the two metal surfaces.
- The equipment must run for the required length of time.
- Do not use XADO on components lubricated by a porous-wicking mechanism, or on mechanisms that rely on the friction effect to function.
These conditions point to one key factor in applying XADO technology effectively: timing. Use it early, before critical wear sets in. This follows the same principle as preventive medicine, where prevention beats cure. Using it a little early does not reduce the strong economic benefit of the technology, because extending service life by 2 to 3 times is itself equivalent to 2 to 3 fewer repairs after XADO is applied. The result is a clear drop in maintenance costs compared with not using it at all.
III. Common XADO Revitalizant Compounds
Below, we introduce the XADO compounds most commonly used and already available in the Vietnamese market. You can find product information here, as well as on our YouTube channel and Facebook page.
XADO Revitalizant is manufactured to Ukrainian specification TU U 24.6-25571373.002-2002, and the brand is protected internationally under the Madrid Agreement.
IV. Choosing the Right XADO Compound
When treating a specific machine whose structure and function match the name of an XADO compound, choose that compound.
For equipment made up of several assemblies, analyze each one in turn, look at its structure, function and method of lubrication, and choose the XADO compound suited to it. For example, on a plastic calendering and drawing line, you will find a gearbox along with calender rolls supported on bearings or bushings. The gearbox is oil-lubricated, so use the XADO gearbox compound. The bearings and roll ends are grease-lubricated and run at normal operating temperature, so choose the standard XADO grease.
Every XADO compound comes with clear, detailed instructions that make the work easy to carry out. Read and understand them thoroughly, and follow both the instructions and the conditions above precisely when applying any XADO compound.
